I have a passion for quantitative analysis and a love for helping others. While my passions have focused around Economics, Finance, and Programming, some of my greatest joys in life have been from knowing my actions have made life just a bit easier for someone else. At a young age, I found myself volunteering with a variety of charity organizations and non-profits, helping children and adults both in my backyard, and around the world. I have, however, always yearned for a way to blend my passion for understanding different companies' financial situations and programming with my love for helping others. Through all my experience volunteering, I have always noticed the effect that financial support can have on the ability to uplift those involved. For me, helping others towards financial success is not just a goal, but deeply personal and I know that helping people reach their financial goals is the perfect fit for me.
Originally, my studies were focused on the field of cybersecurity, while this certainly satisfied my desire to help others using my love for computer science and programming, it left me feeling like something was missing. After being admitted to UConn’s Storrs campus, I realized that perhaps I could leverage my hard skills in computer science with my passion for economics to make a greater difference in the lives of those I hoped to help. It was one of the best decisions of my life as I quickly realized how symbiotic, and fun, the two could be. Helping others has always driven me to do more and I know that helping people reach their financial goals is the perfect fit for me.
The fields of Economics, Finance and Programming are much more closely related than one could imagine. Coding languages that I have used for most of my life, such as Python and C++, are used extensively in financial modeling, forecasting and valuation and can provide a quantitative edge to financial decisions. This symbiosis between fields allows me to fully explore my passions in a highly constructive, creative and adaptive way. There is truly nothing I love more than expanding my knowledge in a field that I am more than passionate about, and I am excited for the opportunity to do so at a place like ccwm.
